What are the common rejection codes?

Here are the IRS common rejection codes:

IRIS_Err_001

Tin matching error

The error occurs when the PersonName or BusinessName and TIN provided in the RecipientDetail do not match the corresponding records in the IRS database. 

IRIS_Err_002

Form validation error

The error occurs when the information provided on the form is incomplete, incorrect, or does not meet the required format or standards. 

IRIS_Err_003

Accepted with note

Accepted with note means the forms were successfully processed, but the IRS included comments or warnings, which are just advisory and do not require immediate action.

IRIS_Err_004

Threshold exceed error

This error in IRS forms typically occurs when the amount or value entered in a particular field exceeds the allowable or expected limit set by the IRS. 

IRIS_Err_005

Business rejection 

The error occurs when the provided business name and TIN do not match the corresponding records in the IRS database.
