How to enable Smart Mail in TaxBandits?

 You can enable Smart Mail during the 1099/W-2 form flow or even after transmitting the forms to the IRS/SSA in the Postal Mailing menu.

To enable Smart Mail while preparing tax forms, follow these steps:

1. Once you complete your 1099/W-2 forms, navigate to the ‘Form Distribution’ page. There, you can enable Smart Mail under BanditShare (Online Access) and proceed to pay.

To enable Smart Mail after transmitting the tax forms, follow these steps:

Step 1: From the dashboard, navigate to the ‘Postal Mailing’ menu.

Step 2: Select the payer and required forms for the recipients, then click ‘Enable Postal Mailing’.

Step 3: Click ‘Continue’ under the Smart Mail option.

Step 4: View the summary and click ‘Proceed to Checkout’ to complete your order.

Once completed, Smart Mail will be enabled, and we will print and send copies to the recipient on your behalf.
