Have questions? We've got you covered! Can I correct the 1099 Forms already submitted to the IRS?
Yes, TaxBandits supports corrections for 1099 forms initially filed with us. You can correct the following errors by filing a 1099 correction:
- Correcting a recipient's name and/or TIN.
- Correcting any federal or state amounts reported incorrectly.
- Voiding a 1099 form that did not need to be filed.
It’s important to note that you can only file a 1099 correction after the IRS has accepted the original form. Since the original form was filed through TaxBandits, we simplify the process by retrieving the original information so you can easily update the amounts as needed.

Correct Payer Details
If you need to correct the payer’s name or TIN, the IRS requires you to write a letter detailing the incorrect payer name and/or TIN previously reported, along with the correct information. TaxBandits allows you to generate this letter, which you can print and mail to the IRS.
