How to fix USPS verification errors for the recipient address?

USPS verification fails when the recipient address provided doesn’t match the USPS address format.

Follow the steps below to fix the USPS validation error:

  • Navigate to the '1099/W-2' dashboard —> Select the Payer —> 'Submitted' tab. Under the USPS Matching section, click 'Fix Errors'.


 

  • Enter the correct address in the respective fields, or use the USPS-suggested address. Then, click 'Validate & Update Address' to re-initiate validation and update the correct address.

  • If you believe the previously reported address is correct and accurate, click the 'Yes I Want To Use This Address' to keep it as it is.
