Get Answers Support Tax Filings & Payments Data Validation USPS Validation What should I do if an address fails USPS validation? If an address fails USPS validation, you have 2 attempts to correct and revalidate the address within 96 hours or the scheduled transmission date (whichever is later). If both attempts fail, further validation is not possible. However, you can still update the TIN within the specified timeframe to ensure the changes are reflected in the form submitted to federal/state agencies and in the generated PDF copies. After the specified timeframe, if the TIN is not updated, the forms will be transmitted as they are. If postal mailing is enabled, the forms will be placed on hold until January 29, 2025. If the address is not updated by that date, the forms will be mailed to the previously provided address. Was this helpful?
