How to enable BanditShare (Online Access) for my 1099/W-2 forms?

You can enable Online Access during form submission or even after transmitting the forms to the IRS or SSA.

To enable Online Access while preparing tax forms, follow these steps:

• Once you complete your 1099/W-2 forms, navigate to the Form Distribution page. There, you can enable BanditShare (Online Access) and proceed to pay.

 

If a recipient doesn’t view or download their form before the deadline, you may be subject to a penalty. To help prevent this, you can enable Smart Mail, which automatically sends postal copies to recipients who haven’t accessed their forms in the secure portal during the last two days before the mailing deadline.

What is Smart Mail? Smart Mail helps you ensure the timely delivery of recipient copies without any extra steps. When enabled, TaxBandits will automatically mail form copies to recipients who haven’t viewed, downloaded, or accessed their forms via BanditShare (Online Access) in the last two days before the mailing deadline

 

To enable Online Access after transmitting the tax forms, follow these steps:

Step 1: From the dashboard, navigate to the ‘Online Access’ menu.

 

Step 2:  Click ‘View Forms’ next to the payer for whom you need to enable online access for the recipient/employee.

 

Step 3: All the recipients under the payer will be displayed. Select the recipient/employee for whom you want to enable online access and click ‘Enable Online Access’. 

Step 4: Complete your order to enable online access for the recipient/employee.
