How long does it take for the IRS/SSA to process my 1099/W-2 returns?
The IRS recommends allowing up to 45 days for processing after submission of 1099 forms. The SSA generally processes W-2 forms within 4 to 6 weeks after submission, although this can take longer during peak filing seasons.
