How to File ACA Form 1095 with TaxBandits?

Note: TaxBandits auto-includes the 1094 forms when you file your 1095 forms.

Here are the Steps to file Form 1095:

Step 1:

Sign in to your TaxBandits account. Under the ‘ACA Forms’ section, click 'File Now' against the ACA form you need to file.

Here, we have chosen ‘Form 1094-C/1095-C’ as an example.

Step 2:

TaxBandits supports the e-filing of 1095 forms for the current and previous tax years (until 2015). So, choose the tax year for which you need to file Form 1095 and proceed.

Step 3:

Add the ‘Employer/Insurer Details’ manually, or select the business if you have added it already. Once done, click ‘Save and Continue’.

Step 4:

Depending on the information you have, you can start filing either Form 1095-C or 1094-C. To begin filing Form 1095-C, click Add Form 1095-Cs.

Step 5:

Choose the preferred method to add Form 1095-C information.

Step 6:

Provide the employee's basic information in Part I and coverage offered information in Part II and click either of the following buttons. 

Save & Add Another - The form you completed will be saved, and a new 1095 form will be generated, which can be used for the next employee.

Save and Continue - Save the form and proceed with the filing.

Step 7:

TaxBandits allow you to complete ‘Authoritative Transmittal’ after completing Form 1095-C.

Note: You should mark at least one of the 1094 forms you file as an Authoritative transmittal as per the IRS.

Step 8:

Based on the details you provide, our system automatically generates your 1094 form. You have the option to access the preview of the form if needed. Click 'Continue' to proceed.

Step 9:

If there are any errors in the details you provided, our system will indicate them and provide you with the option to fix them.

Step 10:

Choose your preferred distribution method and click Continue.

Step 11:

Few states require individual ACA reporting with state agencies. Based on the data you have provided, our system indicates your state filing requirement. Click ‘Continue’ to proceed with the filing. 

Step 12:

Review the order details and click Complete Your Order to pay for our service and transmit the return to the IRS.
