My W-2s were rejected by state agency. Can I retransmit my forms in TaxBandits?

If your forms were rejected because of duplicate filing, i.e., the state agency has already received a W-2 submission for the individual. Therefore the form has been rejected as a duplicate filing. In such cases, you are not required to retransmit the form.
If the state rejected your form for the following reasons, you can retransmit the W-2 forms in TaxBandits.
- State account number rejection
- Virginia State Withholding Rejection
Steps to view and retransmit the rejected 1099s:
- Sign in to your TaxBandits account.
- Navigate to 1099/W-2 from the home screen.
- Select Tax Year and Business.
- Click Rejected Forms to view the list of rejected forms.
- Click Fix Error & Retransmit button to view the reason for rejection.
- Click Fix Error & Retransmit and then click View Errors.
- Click Fix Error and enter the correct information.
- Click Save & Continue and proceed with the flow to retransmit your form.
Note: Please contact the state agency if your W-2s were rejected for any other reason.
