Yes! If your 1099 forms were rejected by the IRS as duplicate filing, you are not required to retransmit the form. If your 1099 forms are rejected for any other errors, you can fix them and retransmit at no additional cost with TaxBandits, provided that you’ve filed the original return with us.
Steps to retransmit the rejected 1099 forms in TaxBandits:
Step 1: Sign in to your TaxBandits account.
Step 2: Navigate to 1099/W-2 from the dashboard.
Step 3: Select Tax Year and Business.
Step 4: Click 'Federal/State Rejection Forms' to view the list of rejected forms.
Step 5: Click the 'Fix' button in the 'Action column next to the payer you wish to retransmit.
Step 6: Fix the errors on the right side by following the IRS instructions provided for each corresponding field and then click the 'Update and Continue' button.
Note: You need to correct at least one of the errors. Without changing the values, you cannot continue with the filing process.
Step 7: Finally, click ‘Continue to Federal Filing’ to retransmit the form.
