Yes! If your 1099 forms were rejected by the IRS as duplicate filing, you are not required to retransmit the form. If your 1099 forms are rejected for any other errors, you can fix them and retransmit at no additional cost with TaxBandits, provided that you’ve filed the original return with us.
Steps to retransmit the rejected 1099 forms in TaxBandits:
Step 1: Sign in to your TaxBandits account.
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘1099/W-2’ → ‘Submitted’ tab from the dashboard.
Step 3: You’ll see the details of your transmitted forms. Click on ‘Rejected’ to view the rejected forms.
Step 4: A list of rejections will appear. Click ‘Fix’ in the Actions column next to the business you wish to retransmit.
Step 5: Review the list of errors displayed alongside the form, make the necessary corrections, and update the form.
Step 6: Finally, click ‘Continue to Federal Filing’ to retransmit the form.
