What is 8879-EMP?

The IRS Form 8879-EMP is used to authorize the Electronic Return Originator (ERO) to use a PIN to file and sign the taxpayers' 94x employment tax return electronically. The ERO must keep the signed form for their records and doesn't require to send this form to the IRS.
