What information do I need to file South Carolina Unemployment Insurance forms?


To file South Carolina Unemployment Insurance (UI) forms, employers must provide the following information:

Employer information

  • Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)

  • South Carolina UI account number

  • Employer name and address

Employee wage information

  • Total gross wages paid to each employee for the quarter.

  • Taxable wages subject to UI contributions (SC applies a taxable wage base each year; only wages up to that limit per employee are taxed).

  • Number of employees who worked during the quarter.

Contribution details

  • Your assigned UI tax rate from SCDEW.

  • Calculated contributions owed (taxable wages × tax rate).
