How to configure print settings for ACA form copies?

TaxBandits gives you full control over how your ACA forms are downloaded and printed after transmission. Whether you're handling payer, recipient, or state copies, you can select the format and layout that best suits your needs. 

Instead of setting preferences for each individual form type every time, you can now apply default settings across all supported forms. 

Here is how to configure the print settings:

Step 1: Sign in to your TaxBandits account. From the dashboard, navigate to ‘Account Settings’ → ‘Print Settings’ → ‘ACA Employee Copies’.

Step 2: For each copy type, choose your preferred default print format and layout. Listed below are the types of copies available (which may vary based on form type), along with the format and layout options you can choose from.

Copy Types

  • Payer Copy: Retained by the payer for their records
  • Recipient Copy: Provided to the recipient (payee) for their tax reporting
  • State Copy: Submitted to the state tax agency, if required, for state income reporting

Format Options

  • Individual: Each form is printed on a separate page
  • Consolidated: Multiple forms combined into a single PDF (up to 250 pages per file; additional files are created if exceeded)
  • Perforated: Designed for use with perforated paper for easy separation

Layout Options

  • Standard: Organized per IRS guidelines, provides a detailed review.
  • Compact: Fits on one page, provides a quick overview.                                

Step 3: Once you've configured your preferences, click ‘Save Changes’ to apply the changes.

You can also configure these settings in ‘Print Forms’ → ‘Print Settings’.
