[Error Code: 1095C-012-01] How do I resolve it?

Rejection Message:

If Form 1095C 'AnnualOfferOfCoverage' does not have a value, then one or more occurrences of 'MonthlyOfferCoverage' (Jan through Dec) must have a value.

What does it mean:

If you’ve not entered the ACA code on line 14 of Form 1095C for “All 12 Months”, then at least one or more entries of 'MonthlyOfferCoverage' (January through December) must be filled out. 

Resolution:

With TaxBandits, you can quickly resolve the error and re-transmit it to the IRS.

Here is how you can resolve the error with Taxbandits,

  • Log in to the TaxBandits account and click on the ACA on the menu.
  • You will see the rejected forms, click "Fix Me" under Action to fix errors and retransmit the form.

  • It redirects you to the health coverage information section.
  • Depending on the health coverage you’ve offered to the employee, enter the right ACA code on line 14 (1A to 1U to describe the offer of coverage) in the “All 12 Months” checkbox or in the corresponding  "Months of Coverage" for months ranging from January to December and click Save and Continue. 
  • Review the completed form again and re-transmit your Form 1095-C.
