Last modified 6/20/2024 6:09:44 AM EST The 'Copy Return' feature allows you to copy specific details from your previous Form 941, making the filing process quicker and more efficient. Here’s how to copy information from a prior quarter's Form 941: Step 1: Sign in to your TaxBandits account. Step 2: Click ‘Start New Forms’ on the dashboard, and choose ‘Form 941.’ Step 3: Enter the employer details manually or click ‘Select Employee From Address Book’ if you have already added the employer details. Step 4: Select the tax year and quarter for which you’re filing, then click the ‘Copy Previous Quarter’ option. Step 5: The return details from the previous quarter will be displayed. Click ‘Copy my Return’ to proceed. Step 6: Review the details on the summary page and continue with the filing process. Note: Form 8453-EMP/8879-EMP, which is required for electronically signing your 941 return, will not be copied from the previous quarter (Q1). You will need to sign a new form for the current quarter (Q2). Additionally, you can only copy information from a previous quarter’s return if it has been successfully transmitted and accepted by the IRS. Was this helpful?
