What are the Role Settings available for Staff Management?

If your TaxBandits account is a Tax Professional account, there are Role Settings available to the account admin. This allows the admin to assign different levels of access to their staff members based on their filing responsibilities. 

These settings increase the accuracy of your workflow by ensuring that staff members only have access to the required information they need to perform their job responsibilities and their roles are clear.

The following Staff-Role Systems are available: 

No-Role: This is the default role system for your TaxBandits account. With this system, all of the staff members in your account have the ability to prepare, edit, approve, and pay and transmit forms that are in the cart. 

This system is best for tax professionals with a small team where all members have the same responsibilities and access. 

Two-Roles: With this system, there are two roles available, Preparer and Approver. Staff members that are assigned as Preparers can prepare and edit forms. Staff members that are assigned as Approvers, are able to prepare and edit forms as well as have access to Pay and Transmit forms from the cart. 

This system is best for tax professionals with teams that have tiered responsibilities, where some staff members are responsible for creating forms, and others are responsible for giving final approval and transmitting the forms. 

Three-Roles: This system has the most specific privileges for each role, these roles include, Preparer, Approver, and Transmitter. Staff members that are assigned as Preparers can only create and prepare forms. Approvers have access to prepare forms and approve them by adding them to the cart. Transmitters have the ability to pay for and transmit approved forms that are in the cart. However, they don’t have access to create or approve forms. 

This system is ideal for tax professionals with a large team that has clearly defined responsibilities and levels of access during the filing process.
