How to void a W2 that was filed?

If you find that you have completed a W2 form unnecessarily, you have the option to void it.

Note: You can only void or correct a form after the SSA accepts it.

1. Sign in to your TaxBandits account.
2. On the dashboard, click 'Start New Form' —> 'W-2 Corrections.'
   
    
3. Click ‘Select Payer from Address Book’ for the payer you want to file corrections. 

4. Choose the form from the dropdown, and the list of accepted forms will be displayed. Under the ‘Actions’ column, click on ‘Void.’

5. On the corrections page, all the federal amounts reported will be voided. Click ‘Save and Continue’ to proceed with the flow to review and transmit your return.
