TaxBandits allows you to file a paper copy of Form 940 Amendment. But before filing the amendment, make sure you have filed the original Form 940 for the year you are amending.

Additionally, be aware that you can file the amendment within two years of the date you filed the original Form 940.

So, if you’ve already filed the original Form 940, follow the instructions below to paper file the 940 Amendment.

• Sign in to your Taxbandits account.
• From the dashboard, click Start New>>Form>>940 Amendment
• Select the employer from the address book if you’ve already filed for this employer, or enter the employer information manually and click Save and Continue.

• Select the tax year for which you intend to file an amendment.

• Enter the Form 940 Amendment details. This means correcting the mistake you made on the previously submitted Form 940.

• Provide a detailed explanation of the changes you are making to the original Form 940 and click Save and Continue.

• Review your details and complete the payment to prepare your Form 940 Amendment.
• After preparing your Form 940 Amendment, download, print, and mail it to the provided address.
