What is the use of bulk upload templates in TaxBandits?

Our CSV templates simplify bulk filing by allowing you to upload data for forms and address book entries efficiently. Here's how you can make the most of these templates:
 

Purpose of Bulk Upload Templates

The templates allow you to:

• Enter and organize data offline in a structured format.
• Quickly upload large volumes of payer, recipient, and filing information.
• Simplify the filing process for forms and streamline address book management.
   

How to Use Bulk Upload Templates:

Step 1: Download the Template

Navigate to the Templates section and download the applicable CSV template based on:

• The type of form series (e.g., 1099/W-2, 94x, ACA).
• The tax year.
• The type of address book data (e.g., Payer Data or Payer and Recipient Data).
   

Step 2: Enter Data

1. Open the downloaded template in a spreadsheet application (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
2. Fill in the required fields:
   • For forms: Enter payer, recipient, and form-specific details like payment amounts, tax withheld, etc.
   • For address book entries: Enter details of payers and their recipients as applicable.
3. Use the instructions provided within the template as a guide to format your entries correctly.
    

Step 3: Upload and File

• For Forms:
  • Start a new form under the desired form series.
  • Choose the Bulk Import option and upload your completed template to proceed with filing.
     
• For Address Book:
  • Navigate to the Address Book section.
  • Click Add New Payer and select the Bulk Import option to upload the completed template.
