If Form 1095C checkbox 'CoveredIndividual' is checked, then at least one 'SSN' or 'BirthDt' in 'CoveredIndividualGrp' must have a value.
What does it mean?
If you’ve checked the Covered Individual checkbox of Form 1095C as a self-insured health plan provider, then you must enter at least one 'SSN' or Birth Date against each covered individual’s name. You should not leave both fields empty.
With TaxBandits, you can quickly resolve the error and re-transmit it to the IRS.
Here is how you can resolve the error with Taxbandits,
- Log in to the TaxBandits account and click on the ACA on the menu.
- You will see the rejected forms, click "Fix Errors & Resubmit" under Action. It redirects you to the health coverage information section.
- Verify whether you have checked the covered individual’s checkbox, if so, then ensure you’ve entered at least one 'SSN' or Birth Date against each covered individual’s name. Note: You must enter a date of birth only if an SSN or TIN for the covered individual is unknown.
- Upon completing, review the form again and re-transmit it to the IRS.
