[Error Code:1095C-028-01] How do I resolve it?

Rejection message:

If Form 1095C checkbox 'CoveredIndividual' is checked, then at least one 'CoveredIndividualName' in 'CoveredIndividualGrp' must be present.

What does it mean?

If you are an Employer providing self-insured coverage to your employees, then you must check the covered individual’s check box and enter any one of the covered individual’s information, including the name, SSN/Birthdate. You must not leave it blank.

Resolution:

With TaxBandits, you can quickly resolve the error and re-transmit it to the IRS.

Here is how you can resolve the error with Taxbandits,

• Log in to the TaxBandits account and click on the ACA on the menu.
• You will see the rejected forms, click "Fix Me" under Action to fix errors and retransmit the form. 

• It redirects you to the health coverage information section.
• Verify whether you have checked or unchecked the Covered individual’s check box. If you’ve checked the box as a self-insured employer, then it is mandatory to fill in at least any one of the covered individual information. 
• Upon completing, review the form again and re-transmit it to the IRS.
