Missouri requires you to file Form 1099 with the state agency under the following conditions:
Requirements
The Missouri Department of Revenue requires the filing of 1099 forms under these conditions:
- If there is state tax withholding, or
- If payments of $1,200 or more are made from Missouri sources to residents or non-residents.
Payers must submit Form 1099 to the Missouri Department of Revenue.
Exceptions include:
Wages for which taxes have already been withheld.
Income reported on an information return for an S-corporation or partnership.
Required Forms
Missouri also requires the filing of the following 1099 forms:
- 1099-NEC
- 1099-MISC
- 1099-K
- 1099-INT
- 1099-DIV
- 1099-R
- 1099-B
- 1099-G
- 1099-OID
- W-2G
Additional Requirements
Missouri requires you to submit an additional Transmittal of Tax Statement, Form MO W-3, only with Form 1099-R.
Note: TaxBandits do not support filing "Form MO W-3" with the state. The payer is responsible for filing these forms before the deadline.
Due Date
- You must file 1099s with Missouri by February 28.
Note: If this due date falls on a weekend or a federal holiday, the deadline is extended to the next business day.
