What is the deadline for filing Form 5500?

Form 5500 and its accompanying schedules must be filed with the IRS and Department of Labor (DOL) on or before the last day of the seventh month after the plan year ends. For the calendar year, the due date is July 31. 

If the filing deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a federal holiday, the due date is the following business day.
