How to add employee information on W2 forms?

There are a couple of ways to add W2 forms for an employer.  One option is to manually enter each employee's W2 form information, while the other is to upload their W2 forms in bulk.

  1. Sign in to your TaxBandits account.
  2. From the dashboard, select Start New >> Form>>W-2
  3. Choose the tax year. There are two ways to enter W-2 information. One is Manual data entry, and the other is the Bulk upload method. 

 

Manual Data Entry
We recommend this option when the count of employee W2 forms to file is low, or you have bulk uploaded the forms earlier and want to add one or two W2 forms to the same order. The manual data entry flow lets you add W2 forms one by one. Then, if the employee is available in the address book, you can quickly pull up their details using the search bar and only have to fill in the federal and state information.

Import using Bulk Upload
When the number of employee W2 forms to file is large, we recommend this solution. Use the template provided in the flow. The only formats that are accepted are Excel and CSV.

The template is available for download. Fill in the required information in the file and upload it to bulk creation of W-2.
