How do I know if the IRS received my authorization forms?

When you submit Form 8655 (Reporting Agent Authorization) through TaxBandits, we transmit it to the IRS by fax on your behalf.

What happens after submission?

1. Confirmation in your account

   • As soon as your Form 8655 is transmitted successfully, you will see a confirmation message in your TaxBandits account. This confirms that the form has been delivered to the IRS fax system.

2. IRS follow-up

• Any acceptance, rejection, or additional correspondence related to your authorization will come directly from the IRS. This may be sent to you by mail or other official communication methods.

3. TaxBandits updates

   • If TaxBandits receives any status updates regarding your Form 8655 from the IRS, we will notify you within your account so you can track progress easily.
