What does 'Recommendations' mean in the Review tab?
Recommendations are intended to enhance the accuracy, delivery, and compliance of your filings. While these items are optional and won’t affect your ability to transmit, addressing them is strongly encouraged for a more complete and accurate filing experience
Common recommendations
- TIN Not Verified: Enable our TIN Matching service to verify recipients’ TIN and name combinations with IRS records to reduce the chance of filing rejections. Learn more
- Address Not Verified: Use our FREE USPS verification service to confirm that mailing addresses are valid and deliverable through address validation checks. Learn more
- Enable Postal Mailing/Online Access: Use Postal Mailing or Online Access to securely deliver recipient copies on time and ensure IRS compliance. Learn more
Why it matters
While optional, following these recommendations helps minimize the risk of IRS/SSA rejections, avoid delivery failures, and reduce the need for post-filing corrections.
