What roles can I assign to my team members?

If you're using a TaxBandits PRO account (Tax Professional), you (Admin) have the option to customize the role system for your team based on your preferences. 

Here are the options available:

No-Role

• This system grants an equal level of permissions to all your team members, allowing them to prepare, edit, approve, pay, and transmit forms. 
• This system is best for tax professionals with a small team where all members have the same responsibilities and access. 

Two-Role

With this system, there are two roles available: Preparer and Approver.

• Team members assigned as Preparers can prepare and edit forms.
• Team members assigned as Approvers can prepare, edit, pay, and transmit forms from the cart. 

This system is best for tax professionals leading teams with tiered responsibilities.

Three-Role

This system has more specific privileges for each role: Preparer, Approver, and Transmitter.

• Team members assigned as Preparers can only create and prepare forms.
• Approvers have access to review and approve forms.
• Transmitters can transmit the approved forms.

This system is ideal for tax professionals with a large team that has clearly defined responsibilities and levels of access during the filing process. 

Note: In addition to these roles, you can make team members a Co-Admin regardless of the role setting you choose. To do this, click the ‘edit’ icon and select the ‘Co-Admin’ role under ‘Team Member Role’ dropdown. If you choose to make the team member a Co-Admin, they will have access to do everything that the admin can in the account, except for adding more Co-Admins.
