How do I add a new 1099 form directly in TaxBandits?

Sage Intacct clients have the ability to create a new form directly in TaxBandits and transmit it to the IRS. 

These are the steps for creating a new Form 1099:

  • Sign in to your TaxBandits account.
  • On the Home screen, Click Start New >> Form >> 1099-NEC.

  • Choose the tax year you need to file for. 

  • Now, choose your preferred method for adding 1099s: 

                Option 1: Manual Data Entry - To add new 1099s one form at a time, select the Manual Data Entry option.
                Option 2: Import bulk Recipient/Employee data - Use the bulk upload option to import multiple 1099 forms. Download the default Excel template provided, follow the instructions for filing in the template, and upload the file. 

  • Fill in the Payer and recipient details and the State/Federal withholding details. Click Save and continue to proceed.

  • All the given information will be validated, and the errors will be displayed, if any. Fix the error before proceeding. 

  • Once all the errors are fixed, the NEC form will be saved, and Batch_ID will be created for the new form, You can filter it from the Batch_ID drop-down. 

  • In the same screen, you can also opt for State Filing, Online Payment, and Postal Mailing. Once enabled, Continue to e-file
  • Complete the order after payment, and the form will now be transmitted to IRS/SSA.
