Who qualifies for COBRA insurance coverage?

Employees who fall under the following conditions are eligible for COBRA insurance coverage.

• Employees who are terminated voluntarily or involuntarily
• If the employees’ working hours are reduced, resulting in loss of employer insurance coverage
• When an employee becomes eligible for Medical Insurance

Employers who fall under the following conditions are eligible to provide COBRA insurance for their eligible employees.

• Employers with at least 20 full-time employees 
• Employers offering private-sector health plans to their employees
