What is Form 941?

IRS Form 941, Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return, is used by employers to report the withholding tax amounts deducted from their employees' paychecks. This includes federal income taxes, Social Security taxes, and Medicare taxes. The form also reports the employer's share of Social Security and Medicare taxes, helping employers determine their tax liabilities to the IRS.

Note: Any amounts withheld from non-payroll payments cannot be reported using Form 941.
