How to sign form 940?

When you e-file 940, 941, & 944 returns, you must e-sign your form to verify your identity as the authorized person e-filing the return. There are two ways to e-sign your 94x form series. 

• Online Signature PIN - It is the 10-digit PIN used to sign your form. You should request this form from IRS and use it while signing 94x forms.
• Form 8453-EMP - Business Owners who do not have an Online Signature PIN or are waiting to receive one from the IRS can opt to use Form 8453-EMP as an alternative to sign and file 94x returns. By signing this form, you authorize Taxbandits as Electronic Return Originator (ERO) to e-filing your 94x return. You can either choose to e-sign the form or download, print, manually sign and upload the form as a PDF.
