Who is required to file Form 1099-LTC?

The IRS requires insurance companies, governmental entities, and viatical settlement providers to file Form 1099-LTC with the IRS and provide policyholders and insured individuals who have received benefits from a long-term care insurance policy or accelerated death benefits with copies of the form.
