How to void a 1099-MISC that was filed?

If you find that you have completed a 1099-MISC form unnecessarily, you have the option to void it.

Note: You can only void or correct a form after the IRS accepts it.

Step 1: Sign in to your TaxBandits account.

Step 2: On the dashboard, click 'Start New Form' → '1099/1098 Corrections.'

Step 3: Select the tax year.

Step 4: Click the 'Select Payer From Address Book' for whom you would like to file corrections.

Step 5: To void your form details, check the VOID box at the top. All the values will be automatically set to zero.

After voiding, click the 'Save and Continue' option to proceed with reviewing and transmitting your return.
