What is Form 8879-WH?

When a withholding agent and an electronic return originator (ERO) want to electronically sign a return and possibly agree to electronic funds withdrawal using a personal identification number (PIN), they should complete Form 8879-WH. If a withholding agent doesn't use this form, they should instead use Form 8453-WH, which is the E-file Declaration for Form 1042. Remember, Form 8879-WH shouldn't be sent to the IRS; the ERO must keep it for their records.
