Applicable To
94X 1099 W-2 ACA W-4

The State of Rhode Island mandates the employers and insurers who provide Minimum Essential  Coverage (MEC) to RI residents to file the federal Form 1094-B/C and 1095-B/C with the state and distribute the form copy to the corresponding recipient.

In addition to 1095 filing, the state of RI requires employers/insurers to file a transmittal Form 1094. TaxBandits supports the e-filing of Form 1095 and Transmittal Form 1094 with the Federal and the State of Rhode Island and distributes employee copies.

What 1095 forms are to be filed

  • Form 1095-B - Health Coverage
  • Form 1095-C - Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage
  • Form 1094-B - Transmittal of Health Coverage Information Returns
  • Form 1094-C - Transmittal of Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage Information Returns

Due Date

  • The deadline to distribute copies of Form 1095-C is March 2.
  • The deadline to submit Form 1095-B/C with the State of RI is March 31.

Mailing Address

The State of Rhode Island does NOT accept the paper filing of ACA 1095 forms. Therefore, employers and health coverage providers are required to e-file ACA forms with the State of Rhode Island.
