Yes. You can use the information that your Contractor/ vendor provides in the Form W-9 when e-filing 1099s. Once you accept the Form W-9 from your contractors/vendors, the information provided will be securely stored in your address book. This stored data can be easily accessed and used during the process of filing your 1099 returns.

Here’s how to e-file 1099s for your contractors/vendors

  • Sign in to your TaxBandits account.
  • Click ‘Start New Form’ and choose the 1099 form you want to file.
  • Select the Tax Year.
  • Input payer details either manually or by retrieving them from the Address book.
  • Enter vendor details manually or use the Address book to pull information by searching their name or Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN).
  • Review the summary of the form and proceed to pay.
  • Click on the 'Pay and Transmit' button to transmit your return to the IRS.

Upon successful acceptance of your return by the IRS, you will receive a notification via email. If you have selected postal mail or online access, TaxBandits will handle the distribution of recipient copies on your behalf.
