As an employer, once you have filed Form 941 for the first quarter, you should continue to file returns for each quarter even if there is no tax amount to report to the IRS. However, if you have filed a final return, you become expert from filing Form 941.

For example, if you filed Form 941 for the First Quarter of 2023, and you don’t have any tax amount to report for the Second Quarter of 2023, you still have to file Form 941 for the Second Quarter with zero amount.

TaxBandits simplifies the process of reporting zero taxes on Form 941. When filing Form 941, check the Zero Reporting box, and you will be navigated to the summary page directly without going through each and every page of the form. Click here to e-file Form 941 for 2023.
