Where do I find a copy of the summary Form 1096?

Form 1096 is not required when you e-file 1099 forms in TaxBandits, as we will generate it automatically for your reference. 

Follow the steps below to access a copy of your Form 1096.

Step 1:

• Sign in to your TaxBandits account. 
• From the Dashboard, Navigate to the “Distribution Center”.

• Use filters to select the Tax year, Form type, Business Name, and form distribution status. Once selected, click Go. The businesses in your account will be displayed based on the filters you applied. 

 

• To download summary form 1096, click Print Forms against the business. 

You will see the section which is grouped as 

1. Recipient Copies (Employee Copies for 1099/W-2/1098/5498 forms)
2. Payer Copies (Employer Copies for 1099/W-2/1098/5498 forms)
3. State Copies 
4. State Reconciliation Copies

• Click 'Summary Form 1096', and your 1096 form will be downloaded automatically.
