As a W-9 requester, you first need to send an email requesting the recipient to complete Form W-9 through TaxBandits.
Here is how the recipients sign and submit W-9:
- Once you receive the email from the recipient, click the secure link in the email to sign in / sign up for TaxBandits (If the recipient is a new user).
- Fill in the information (Name, TIN, Business Type, and Address).
- E-sign & certify.
- Click "Submit".
Once the recipient submits a W-9, you will receive a status notification. You can then use the information provided in W-9 to e-file 1099 with the IRS through TaxBandits.
