Iowa - W2 State Filing Requirements

The Iowa Department of Revenue requires the filing of W2 Forms only if there is a state tax withholding. TaxBandits supports the filing of Form W-2 with both the SSA and the State of Iowa.
However, we do not support filing Withholding Annual VSP Report "Form VSP 44-007” with the state, and the employer is responsible for filing the form before the deadline.
What to be filed
Form W-2 - Wage and Tax Statements
Form 44-007 VSP - Withholding Annual VSP Report.
Due Date
The filing due date for both Form W2 & VSP Form 44-007 with Iowa is February 15.
Penalty
A penalty of 10% will be added to the tax due for failure to file W2 forms if at least 90% of the correct amount of tax is not paid by the due date.
Mailing Address
If you withheld taxes, mail your Form W2 along with Form Form VSP 44-007 and W-3 to the following address:
Iowa Department of Revenue,
PO Box 10411,
Des Moines IA 50306-0411.
