Employers of a business have to file Form 941 in quarters for reporting income taxes, social security tax, or medicare withheld from employee’s paycheck, employer’s portion of social security and medicare tax.
Here is how you file Form 941.
- Sign in to TaxBandits.
- Go to the Home tab. Under 94x - Quarterly, choose Form 941.
- Enter the employer detail or pull up from the address book using the search bar and click Next.
Choose Tax year & Quarter
Here you choose the tax year and the quarter you are reporting for.
- Select the Tax year.
- Choose the Quarter and click Continue.
Wages and Tax withheld
Here you enter the wages, tips, and tax amount withheld for the reporting quarter.
Social Security and Medicare Taxes
If the wages, tips, or other compensation are subject to social security or medicare tax, click Yes and fill the details.
Enter tax amounts that result from current quarter adjustments. Click Next.
Enter the deposits made for the quarter. Overpayment or Balance Due, if any is shown. Click Next.
If you owe any tax to the IRS indicated by the Balance Due field, you can opt for payments through either Electronic Funds Withdrawal (EFW), Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS), Credit/Debit Card, Check, or Money Order.

Sign & File
Sign using your Online Signature PIN received from the IRS and proceed to file the return. In case you don’t have the Online Signature PIN, use Form 8453-EMP to sign the 94x return.

Print a Copy
