Due to the impact of COVID-19, there might be a delay in processing your Form 7200 by the IRS. The employers who have experienced a delay in getting their Form 7200 return processed will be notified by the IRS through letters. The IRS will send the following letters in case of rejections and verifications.

Letter 6312 - This letter is sent to notify the employers that the IRS has rejected their Form 7200 or if there are any changes in the requested advance payment amount because of computation errors.

Letter 6313 - This letter is sent to the employer if the IRS needs a written verification to confirm the business mailing address or the business location mentioned in Form 7200.
